Bud Booster Filter Capacity

Each filter in the Bud Booster is designed to remove specific contaminants and each has a certain capacity. In order to maintain the effectiveness of the Bud Booster in enhancing your ability to grow bigger buds, you should replace each filter as needed. These filters absorb the contaminants they are removing. So toward the end of their useful life, or capacity, they will be full of contaminants and therefore not able to remove any more.

The Bud Booster consists of three powerful and specific filters. A grower should use the following guidelines in determining when to replace each filter. As you can see the fluoride reduction filter is about 1/3 the capacity of the chlorine or chloramine filter and therefore needs to be replaced more often.

Bud Booster Filter Capacity

Retail Grower

Fluoride reduction: 9000 gallons – filter # 1 (based on 1 ppm of fluoride in city water)

Chlorine or Chloramine removal: 30,000 gallons – filter # 2 (based on 1 ppm of chloramine in water, this level may increase to 3 ppm in summer)

Sediment and pesticide removal – filter # 3 – replace with filter # 2 or when you notice a decrease in flow rate

Home Grower

Fluoride reduction: 4500 gallons – filter # 1

Chlorine or Chloramine removal: 15,000 gallons – filter # 2

Sediment and pesticide removal – filter # 3 – replace when replacing filter # 2 or when you notice a decrease in flow rate

NOte: If your water flow starts slowing down it is most likely filter # 3, the one closest to your grow, which is removing sediment from the water down to 5 microns.

It’s best to have spares of each on hand. Then you can replace them when your plants show a decline in production. The Bud Booster consists of three powerful filters each having a certain capacity for contaminant removal. In order to maintain the health of your plants you should replace these according to the schedule outlined above. Failure to do so will result in contaminants passing through the filters and reaching your plants.
